Next Board Member
Bill Hudson, President
Bill started organizing fundraising concert
events in 1974 while living in Juneau, Alaska. He served on the initial Board of Directors for the perennially-popular Alaska
Folk Festival.
In the early 80s, he founded the Tricycle Theater
to present children's theater in Juneau, and also worked with
Perseverance Theatre as a set designer and as director of family-oriented productions.
He helped Juneau Dance Unlimited expand their summer Dance
Camp into a Summer Arts Camp, and worked there for several summers as an art and theater
instructor.
As asilk-screen artist, Bill designed and created
the Alaska Folk Festival posters for 12 years which, along
with all his other poster art designs, have become collectors'
items.
Upon moving to Pagosa Springs, Colorado, he
founded the Kids Summer Arts Camp, and the Pagosa Pretenders
Family Theater, both of which continue to offer activities
for children and families. He and his wife Clarissa Hudson
founded Artstream Cultural Resources to provide arts-in-education
experiences for public schools in Colorado. Artstream has
continued to expand its offerings in both Colorado and Alaska,
sponsoring theater, film-making, music, and cultural events
and activities.
Bill is a self-employed artist, web-designer
and is the editor and publisher of the local on-line magazine,
the Pagosa
Daily Post. Occasionally, he plays bass in his rock n'
soul band called "Rock-ola."
Bill has created several public art installations
in collaboration with his wife Clarissa; you may view some
of their work on their website at: http://hudsonhudson.com
